After a long hike in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania, Mike pulled out a snack bar to attempt to replenish himself. Meghan, always focused on health, gasped, "Why are you eating that!" Mike answered by explaining how this snack bar was one of the few he could eat without having an allergic reaction due to his severe nut-allergy. Meghan explained how the snack bar was only full of sugar and carbs and that there had to be something better Mike could eat after a hike or as a snack. From this conversation, Meghan was inspired to create a nutrition bar Mike could enjoy and Kennai was born. 

Meghan decided to craft her own nutrition bars and snacks in their kitchen. After family and friends began asking for the snacks to enjoy for themselves, Meghan realized she had to bring their creation to everyone. Kennai Food Company products can be enjoyed by all.
